Mike Lirette moved to New Orleans from Houma to be a resident of the city he loves. He studied Visual Communications at Delgado and proceeded to work in the exciting, fun New Orleans wedding market. Excited to be a part of so many bride and groom's big day, his place in the New Orleans area was a natural fit. In his free time, Mike enjoys walking around, exploring his city with his wife Ali and his 35mm camera in hand. Grateful for the incredible couples he has worked with, Mike makes sure that couples traveling to New Orleans for their destination wedding leave with beautiful images that they can treasure for a lifetime.

What is your favorite thing about events at Stella Plantation: "The light, somehow, is always amazing at Stella. I don't know if it's the Oaks or maybe Stella Plantation's location on the globe, but I've photographed weddings there in daylight, moonlight, cloudy days, and sunny days, and every time there is gorgeous light! Can't have great photos without great light and Stella Plantation always delivers on the light!"

What piece of advice do you give to couples getting married at Stella: "Relax and enjoy your wedding day. The day is going to fly by. Trust me, I got married this past April and could not believe how fast the day goes. You're in good hands. Trust your vendors, visit with your friends and family, and enjoy."

Tell us something you enjoy about events/weddings in general: "The emotions. It's all real. Laughing, crying. The emotions aren't forced for a photo and I really enjoy that. I love being able to help the brides, grooms, their friends, and families remember such an important day."

Tell us a little something about you!: "I've photographed my first wedding in 2005 and since then has been a part of over 300 wedding day celebrations."

From Stella's Event Manager - Caroline says: "Mike has great energy. He's excited for you and your celebration without being excitable. His relaxed attitude puts everyone at ease, while he remains on task and on time. His photos are stunning and I love the feelings that come through each image. I always recommend Mike to both wedding and corporate clients. He's a gem!

From a Friendor (Vendor Friend) - Lisa from Luminous Events Says: "Mike is the epitome of cool, calm and grace under pressure, exactly what a bride should be looking for in a photographer in addition to their top notch skills, he’s the complete package! I’ve worked with Mike on many weddings and his images capture the emotions, design and surroundings to a “t” to tell the whole story of a couple’s special day, his work is flawless!

From our Stella Brides: "My engagement and wedding photos are absolutely amazing!! Mike listened to my vision and made it come true and now we have photos that we will treasure for a lifetime. My (now) husband and I were very nervous about being the focal point of photos, but Mike knew exactly how to put us at ease while also giving us directions on where to stand, look, etc. By the end of our engagement shoot we were laughing and just having an overall great time; which is evident in our photos. Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning! They capture our big day in a way that makes me feel like he used a fairy-tale filter. I get to relive my wedding day when I look back at the photos and what more could a bride want than that?" - Katherine
