Meet the Team: Caroline Parrone

While the Stella team is small (but mighty) our Stella Family is made up of tons of fantastic vendors who work at Stella every weekend to ensure your event is a huge success. We'll be spotlighting our team members in the weeks and months to come! Can't wait to introduce you to our crew!

Meet Stella's Event Manager: Caroline Parrone

Caroline has over 15 years of event experience and has been with Stella Plantation for a little over 2 years. Her credits include everything from 1,200 seated gala fundraisers to intimate wedding celebrations. With many of her years spent working with non-profits, Caroline is budget focused with a particular love of logistics.

What is your favorite thing about events at Stella Plantation: "It's so hard to choose just one thing. I love that Stella is so customizable. We have had so many creative clients and vendors and I'm always amazed at what people come up with! I also come from a family of photographers, so I love the endless backdrops for photos.

I also love watching people enjoy Stella. When someone is thrilled by the 250-year-old Oak Trees, is able to get away from the city, or picks a ripe satsuma off one of our citrus trees, it makes me happy."

What piece of advice do you give to couples getting married at Stella: "It goes by so quickly! I always advise that you try to stick by each other during the reception. That way you experience the celebration together. In regards to the logistics of the wedding, I highly recommend either a first look, or (if you don't want to see each other) adding a cocktail hour to mask the time you're away from your guests. That way you are able to fully enjoy your reception!

In regards to the budget - I ask each of them to name the top 3 things that they think are the most important. We weight the budget towards those 3 things. It's a great conversation starter for the couple and usually gets the priorities of the couple on the table early in the process. "

What piece of advice do you give to people hosting their corporate events at Stella: "Let us help you! We love creating an event that is tailored to your group, and no one knows all the things we can offer better than us! Come to us with an idea and we will happily help you to make small changes that enhance the experience."

Adaptability is key when it comes to dealing with rapidly changing situations and Caroline is always calm, cool, and ready with a new solution."

Tell us something you don't like: "I do not like those lists of 'things you should never do at your wedding/event.' They are so judgmental. I think if you like it, do it. Your guests will enjoy it because you do! And this girl has never met a mashed potato bar she didn't like."

Caroline lives in New Orleans with her husband, Ben, their son, Charlie, and their pup, Tallulah.
