Erin & Josh - Real Wedding

From the bride: "I began planning, like most brides, a soon as the ring was slipped on my finger......

I live in Arizona but knew New Orleans was the destination for our wedding the minute I met my husband two years ago. He is a native, born and raised. We began planning via the internet and I came across Stella, just from the pictures I knew this was it. I requested information and immediately the event planner, Caroline Parrone, contacted me. She was so accommodating over the phone and provided more information than I could even digest! My mother and I planned a trip for October 2015 to meet Caroline and see the plantation. It was breathtaking! Caroline was so amazing and knowledgeable. Being that we were 1,400 miles away she set up a schedule for monthly phone meetings to touch base. With every phone call I fell more and more in "like" with her! She is so organized, patient, and kind! Fast forward to the big was amazing! Caroline took all the signs and decorations I had shipped, along with the decorating company and floral arrangements and created a look I didn't even know I wanted! She was so attentive the day of and helped to keep me calm during stressful moments! She treated me like a friend and always made me and the bridal party feel at home. Between the setting of giant oak trees, sprawling grass and Caroline this is a no brainer! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting on our special day! Thank you Caroline and Stella Plantation for making it so magical!!"

Erin and her bridesmaids spent the afternoon prior to the wedding prepping and relaxing in Stella's beautiful guest house. The lovely ladies from Flawless Bride pampered the group with hair & makeup applications while the ladies snacked and drank mimosas. The perfect start to any wedding day!

Erin's team of vendors created a stunning welcome for guests in the Carriage House, complete with the Oak Tree inspired guest book (thank you etsy), instagram hashtag info and adorable photos of Erin & Josh. The ceremony featured simple decor from Luminous Events and sat at the base of the Lazy Tree.

As a destination bride, Erin was so pleased with the rental option provided by Something Borrowed Blooms. She was one of the first to rent the "Stella Collection" and found the flowers to be beautiful, easy and cost effective.

The groom's fun loving personality showed through in all of his photos. Goofing around, sipping on Crown Apple Royal and hanging with his gents - his day was pretty relaxing as well!

The bride opted for a sweet first look with her dad. But saved her big reveal for Josh & the guests.

Erin was absolutely stunning in her Ines Di Santo gown which she purchased at Mariee Bridal in Scottsdale, AZ.

Her color combinations for the bridesmaids, her new daughters and flower girl, perfectly complimented the floral & gorgeous decor.

Jay Theriot from Studio Orleans completely knocked it out of the park with the stunning photography. I knew this photo of Erin & Josh with the full moon behind them would be one of my absolute favorites.

Luminous Events pulled out all the stops with this decor in the Harold Pavilion. The gold and white drape mixed with the grapevine chandeliers and festoon lighting gave the tent a romantic and magical feel with just a hint of rustic charm.

Their greenery hedges and rustic farm table made the perfect setting for the mini pie bar that took the place of a traditional wedding cake. Guests were thrilled with the delicious pies from Mad Batter Bakery with the Key Lime winning as the crowd favorite!

Luminous complimented the centerpieces from Something Borrowed with mercury glass candles, and cut glass votives.

Etsy for the win once again, with the beautiful seating arrangements handpainted on vintage window panes. A few vintage wine barrels and a couple of Stella Plantation orange crates finished off the welcome table.

Erin & Josh's friends and family helped to make their day truly magical. Which such a warm and loving feel to the room, there was no way not to be carried away with the romance and great vibes. Plus they really knew how to bust a move.
