Rachael & Joshua's "Swampy Chic" Wedding
Rachael & Joshua first visited us in October of 2015. A mere five months later they said "I Do" at their stylish wedding surrounded by 200 of their family & friends hailing from Chicago to Louisiana. Proving that wedding planning takes exactly the amount of time you have.
The bride arrived at Stella early, for prepping and pampering. Hair and Makeup by the talented ladies of GLAM NOLA for Rachael, her sister, mom and mother-in-law to be allowed the ladies time to relax and bond before walking down the aisle. Sipping mimosas by the pool and soaking in the sunshine put everyone in a lovely mood. After first looks and family photos, the bride and groom were joined by friends for a cheers!
Their beautiful ceremony was enhanced with stunning furniture rentals (couches for Grandmas and Grandpas & Moms and Dads and armchairs for the Best Man and Maid of Honor) from Timeless Vintage Rentals, floral accents from Mitch's Flowers, friends provided the ceremony music and grandma and grandpa watched teary eyed from Chicago on an ipad held by the Bride's brother-in-law.
Rachael & Josh wanted to incorporate their love of New Orleans into a "Swampy Chic" style wedding with special touches from family traditions. The beautiful spread from 12 Seasons Catering was delicious and local! The couple danced the night away under romantic, sparkling lighting from Luminous Events of New Orleans and snacked on late night muffins flown in from the family's favorite bakery back home. Rachael & Josh seconded lined with their combined families out to an awaiting Roles Royce that served as their carriage back to the city.
A few words from the Bride: "My husband and I, along with our 175 guests had the most unforgettable, beautiful, fun, romantic and classy outdoor wedding experience. Every single one of our guests has told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. My husband and I, along with most of our guests, are from Illinois, and Caroline Parrone did the most amazing job referring us to vendors, helping us with decisions and providing her wedding coordination services. Stella is even more majestic and beautiful in person than any photo we could find online. Thank you Stella and Caroline for the most beautiful day of our lives <3"
